Year of Mercy
Pope Francis has named this Jubilee year, The Year of Mercy. The Year of Mercy is an invitation—an invitation to love, kindness, and unbounded generosity. Pope Francis has offered us the opportunity to encounter the incredible mercy of God. Encountering mercy means encountering God. The school liturgy reps have held several meetings to discuss how our school can celebrate the Year of Mercy. They have helped to lead several assemblies to discuss what mercy means and how we can show mercy within our school. Pupils in KS2 have written about what they feel mercy looks like and how we can show love to others right here at The Ursuline Preparatory School Ilford. Each week the liturgy reps will select a sample of this work to be displayed here on the website.
