Y5 Class Assembly

St Ursula’s Day Mass
Next Friday we will be celebrating the Feast of St Ursula with a whole school Mass at 10.30am. All parents and families are welcome to join us.
Year 1 trip to London Transport Museum
Year 1 went to the Transport Museum and learnt about how trains and buses have changed over time. This trip also linked in with our current science topic of materials as we had to talk about what materials the different transportation were made out of and how they have changed.
The children in Years 2-6 have completed their tests this week and have worked very hard. Parents will receive the results of the tests during the parent consultation meetings after half term.
A reminder that the next PTFA meetings will be held on:
- Monday 4th November at 4.00pm.
- Tuesday 3rd December – 4.00pm
- Wednesday 15th January – 4.00pm
Prize Day Trophies
Congratulations to all the children who won their class cup at prize day. A reminder to please have your child’s name engraved and return the cup to the school office as soon as possible. These will then be displayed in our trophy cabinet outside the main office. Thank you to those who have already returned them.
Please make sure that your children’s belongings are clearly labelled. There are a number of items already in lost property. The Year 6 pupils will be displaying lost property for collection each Friday morning before school. Please be advised that if there is no name and it has not been claimed, uniform items will be sent to the used uniform shop and non-uniform items will be given to the local charity shop.
The role of class parent is to help improve communication between home and school and also to increase parent involvement. Class parents are the coordinators of support for your child’s class. They help organise support for teachers and class room activities as needed and facilitate a sense of community among the children’s families. They strengthen communication between the school and the families. Thank you to those who have already volunteered. Please see the list below.
