It was so lovely this week to see all of the children back to school, refreshed and ready to learn. I hope that you all had a restful break and a blessed Easter. Welcome back!
The next class assembly will be Year 2 and will take place on Friday 3rd May at 9:10am. As always, parents and friends are invited to attend.
Easter Egg Raffle
Congratulations to all of the winners from the raffle! Our school raised £165.00 from the Easter egg raffle ticket sales. This money has been raised for our PTFA. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets!
Ice lolly Friday
All children that signed up for ice lollies received their first one at morning break time today.
On Friday 26th April we celebrated our annual PSHE Day where we focused on one of our British Values, The Rule of Law. The day was packed with a variety of activities for each year group centred on this value. The children came to school in non-uniform showcasing the wide range of roles associated with law. By the end of the day the children learnt age appropriate facts about the law through enjoyable activities.
Letters for the extracurricular clubs have already gone out. If you still require one paper copies can be found in the office. Please make sure that these are completed and returned by the end of today so that your child can attend the clubs. Remember that some clubs may be first come, first served. All clubs will commence next week and full lists will be on the board at the side of St Angela building.
The children should now be in the summer uniform. For girls this is the summer dress, white socks, blue cardigan, blazer and boater straw hat. For boys this is the same as winter uniform but charcoal shorts and short sleeved shirts may be worn. Hair should be tied back in school coloured hairbands and this ruling applies to both girls and boys. A reminder that all new school uniform purchases should be made from Stevensons. We do not stock any items of new uniform. A rail of ‘nearly new’ items can be found outside Reception and can be paid for at the main office.
We are holding our Summer Concert on Friday 10th May in the Academy Hall starting at 6.30pm. It will be showcasing the talents within our school from Choir, Ballet, Irish dancing, Street dancing, Bollywood, Speech and drama and instrumentalists. If your child takes part in one of these activities, they will be preparing for the concert already. All parents and children can attend. We will be selling tickets from next week at a cost of £2.50 for an adult and £1 for a child (those who are performing will not need a ticket).
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Can I please remind everyone that the parking bays in the front of the school are for staff only and must not be used in the morning for dropping off. This is currently causing staff lateness which impacts on your own children.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
