Thank you to Year 3 for their informative and interesting assembly about light this morning. We particularly enjoyed your original song! Thank you to Mrs Pereira and to all the family who came to watch.
The KS1 and KS2 Easter Service will take place on Tuesday 2nd April at 1:30pm, in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Ilford. At this Service, we will be reflecting on the time of Lent and continuing our preparations for Easter. We would be very happy if you were able to join us for this very special occasion. If you wish to take your child directly from the church at the end of the service then you will be able to do so, otherwise the children will be brought back to school where After School Club will run as normal.
Easter Egg Raffle
Tickets are currently on sale for our annual Easter Egg raffle which will take place at our final assembly on Friday 5th April. School Council members are selling the tickets, priced at 50p a strip, with the money going to the PTFA.
Junior Citizens On Monday 18th March Year 6 visited the Army Reserve Centre for their Junior Citizens trip. Here they were talked to by the Police, Fire Service and TfL staff about how to keep themselves safe at home, school and whilst travelling. The messages were very important and the children listened and behaved impeccably.
Nursery visit to Bedford’s Park
The children had a fantastic time on our trip to Bedford’s Park. There was so much for them to explore and they were thoroughly engaged when they were given the opportunity to interact with Emma, ‘The Guide’. They were encouraged to hunt for mini-beasts in the woods and describe each mini-beast they saw. We found spiders, ladybirds, ants, woodlice and worms. We then placed the mini-beasts in a pot and closely looked at each mini-beast carefully. They were then given the chance to see the reindeers and feed them some carrots, which the reindeers thoroughly enjoyed. We learnt the difference between the male and female reindeers and how to distinguish them by their antlers. We explored the grass and mud and saw some large mole hills and learnt how moles dig their way up through a tunnel underground. What a day they had!
11+ Preparation meeting
Thank you to the parents who joined us for our 11+ preparation meeting on Thursday 21st March. We hope that the information was useful and provided information about what we do here at school and how parents can support us. The presentations have been put onto the Parent Portal under 11+ for you to look at or download. If you have any further questions, please get in touch.
