Thank you to Year 6 for their entertaining and informative assembly about the Aztecs. The next class assembly will be Year 5 and will take place on Friday 29th February at 9:10am in the hall. Year 5 parents and friends are invited to attend.
Nursery Class Outing
The Nursery class had an enjoyable trip to The Postal Museum on Thursday where they learnt about how our post is delivered and sorted. The children experienced being a ‘Postman’ or ‘Postwoman’ for the day and were able to deliver letters, drive a post van, answer queries on the phone and scan large parcels ready for delivery. The children had lots of fun and enjoyed lunch in the museum talking all about what they had done and their favourite part of the morning.
World Book Day
The Scholastic Book Fair will also be in school from 7th March to link in with World Book Day. Parents have the opportunity to use this link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/ to purchase a voucher for their child to use at the Book Fair. This means they get an extra 20%. So a £12 voucher costs £10 and a £6 voucher costs £5. Their child can just present this to an adult at the Book Fair to take advantage of the extra 20% which is applicable on any item – not just books. They will not get any change – they must use the voucher!
Bee an Artist
This term our rainbow on the stairs is to be transformed with pupils’ artwork. Any child can produce a piece of artwork for display using any medium they like. It must be no larger than A4. Once completed hand to their teacher and it will be displayed along the stairs.
Next week is Enterprise Week. The Year 6s will learn about how to look after money and explore aspects of financial wellbeing. They are undertaking a house challenge to make the most profit possible creating a consumable and non-consumable product to sell. These will be on sale Thursday afternoon and after school where the other children will be able to buy them.
On Thursday 28th February from 9-12 it is our open morning for prospective pupils. If you know anyone who would be interested in sending their child to our school please let them know. Appointments are not necessary.
Attendance No class had 100 per cent attendance or punctuality this week. I hope that next week we have an improvement.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.)
