We will be celebrating Mass for our Year 6 leavers on Thursday 11th July at 2pm. All parents are invited to attend especially those of Year 6 children.
Last Day of Term
The last day of term is Friday 12th July. School ends at 12pm and there is no after school club on this day. Holiday club begins on Monday 15th July.
On Wednesday 3rd July the school celebrated Art Day with a trip to an art gallery. Please see the attached newsletter for details about their experiences.
Year 6 film projects
As part of their computing curriculum, Year 6 made documentary films based on school issues such as uniform, clubs and school dinners. They had to plan and write their own scripts, film it using the iPads and then edit their work using iMovie. The pupils really enjoyed the activity and all created well-structured and interesting films. Below you can see some stills from their films.
The summer fair was a great success again this year! Thank you to all of the staff and parents for volunteering to help run stalls and for all who attended to support our school. A special thanks to Ms O’Loughlin for organising the event!
The end of year assessments will be given to the children to bring home on Monday. The children have worked hard this year and should be very proud of their achievements. If you wish to discuss them further, please make an appointment with the class teacher.
Sun hats and water bottles
As the weather improves I would like to remind you of the importance of wearing a sun hat during play time and lunch time and bringing a water bottle to school every day. Water bottles, which can be refilled through the day, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Nearly new uniform
As we reach the end of term if you have any uniform that could be recycled please bring it in to the office and give it to Mrs Johnson. Please ensure it is clean and suitable for resale. All of our nearly new uniform for sale can be found on the rail outside the Reception classroom. Do take a look!
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A reminder that Prize Day is Wednesday 10th July at 6.30pm. We hope that all children from Year 1 to Year 6 will attend with their parents. There will be a performance by the KS2 choir, KS1 will be singing a song and the Year 6 responsibilities will be announced.
Well done to Reception and Year 4 for 100% attendance this week. Unfortunately, there were no classes with no lates this week. I hope that next week there are more classes with 100% punctuality and attendance.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
