Ursuline has talent!
Thank you to Year 4 for their interesting assembly on sound and the Normans last Friday. It was full of interesting facts and fabulous singing. The next class assembly will be in the Trinity Term with Year 2 and will take place on Friday 4th May at 9:10am in the hall. Year 2 parents and friends are invited to attend.
Ursuline’s Got Talent
On Friday 16th March, the children in Reception through Year 6 took part in our annual school talent show. After making it to the final round by auditioning in their classes, 13 acts made it to perform in front of the whole school! Congratulations to Rajan who drummed his way to first place! Gabrielle, Reeshikha and Dia in Year 1 took second place dancing to Shimmer and Shine and in joint third place, Neha with her Indian dancing and Zachariya playing the piano. Mr Agyemang, Mr Harding, the Holiday Club Crew and the Staff Band also performed for the children. Thanks to all who participated. Ursuline certainly does have talent! A special thanks to our guest judges, Mr Harding, Mr Agyemang and Mrs Brown.
House Tug of War
On Thursday 22nd March Reception – Year 6 will take part in the annual House Tug of War in Valentine’s Park from 1.30pm. Children will need to come to school wearing their PE kit including their House Polo Shirt. A reminder that all children should have the coloured top as part of their uniform. These can be purchased from Stevenson’s. A list of the houses is up on the noticeboard in case you are unsure of which colour to buy. Parents are invited to come and watch (and take part) on the day.
The KS1 and KS2 Easter Service will take place on Tuesday 27th March at 1:30pm, in Saint Peter and Paul’s Church, Ilford. At this Service, we will be reflecting on the time of Lent and continuing our preparations for Easter. We would be very happy if you were able to join us for this very special occasion. If you wish to take your child directly from the church at the end of the service then you will be able to do so, otherwise the children will be brought back to school where After School Club will run as normal.
Stevenson’s, our school outfitters, will be in school on Thursday 5th April (during holidays) from 3pm until 5pm in the Prep Hall. As the children return to school from the Easter break in summer uniform, this will give you the opportunity to purchase what is needed and try out different sizes.
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Easter Egg Raffle
Tickets are currently on sale for our annual Easter Egg raffle which will take place at our final assembly on Wednesday 28th March. School Council members are selling the tickets, priced at 50p a strip, with the money going to the PTFA.
On Wednesday 28th March we will be holding our annual Easter Bonnet/Hat parade Please do encourage your child to take part.
