Uniform Pop-up Shop
The next pop-up shop will take place on Wednesday 19th July.
Sports Day was held on Friday 23rd June at Cricklefields Stadium. Thank you to all of the parents and families who came to support the children and a big thank you to Mr Tuitt for organising the day!
Next year we will possibly be asking parents to drop and collect their children straight from Cricklefields with a half day school closure. We will be changing the events to ensure that pupils participate in all races which will hopefully encourage a greater community spirit.
Congratulation to Year 2 for winning the Smarties Challenge. 69% of the class returned their tubes. A picnic in the park will be arranged for Y2 before we break up for the summer.
Thank you to all who returned their tubes. We have raised £406.35.
The money raised will go to the PTFA to boost the profits from the summer fair.
The 2017 summer fair is this Friday 30th June from 3.30-7pm. We have received very little by way of donations and we would still be very grateful to receive anything that you think may be useful. Tickets will be on sale in the mornings and a box for donations will also be available outside and in the school office. The school council are selling the games tickets in school this week. KS2 children are allowed to go on their own but Early Years and KS1 must be accompanied by an adult. Afterschool will be available but it would be lovely to see everyone at the fair and this would also enable the afterschool club staff to participate.
We have the company ‘bugz and butterflies’ joining us to do face painting for the children. This will be an additional cost of £3 on the night. We have many games arranged for the children including ‘panning for gold’, ‘chocolate throw’, ‘pin the tail on the donkey’ and many more. We also have a bouncy castle and hope to finish with a pupil versus parent rounder’s match at 6.30 pm. Please come along and support the school. All funds raised will be used to purchase computer tablets for the class rooms.
This is a large project but with your help and everyone getting involved I am sure that we can succeed.
Recycled Uniform Sale
This will also be available at the Summer Fair together with the following new items that we still have in stock:-
6 swim hats
12 Back packs (KS2 bags)
3 Book bags (KS1 bags)
15 PE bags
Once these items are sold out they will no longer be available to purchase from school.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
The school is still collecting these vouchers. Please put them in the box outside the main school office.
After School Club
Please remember to sign your child out when you collect them from after school club. When collecting your children from the hall, please be mindful of the after school clubs and sports practices that are taking place and walk around the perimeter of the playground.
Humanities Day- Day of Many Colours
On Friday 30th June it is the Day of Many Colours, the Mission Together fundraising day supporting children living in poverty overseas. This year, we have combined it with Humanities day to learn about other countries around the world that will be taking part. The children are asked to dress in the colours red, blue, green, yellow and white and donate £2. The donation will be split between Mission Together and the PTFA. The children will take part in activities based on maps during the day and will be able to finish off their day at the Summer Fair.
