The next class assembly will be Reception and will take place on Friday 21st June at 9:10am. As always, parents and friends are invited to attend.
Sports Day – 14th June 2019
Sports Day was held last Friday and luckily the rain held off. A lot of fun was had by all. Thank you to the teachers and parents who came along to make it a success. The pupils enjoyed taking part in races and field events. Thank you to Mr Agyemang for organising the morning and congratulations to everyone who took part. You demonstrated excellent skill but also great resilience and perseverance.
Summer Fair – 3.30pm – 6.00pm
The Summer Fair will be held on Friday 28th June. There will be no afterschool club on this day to enable everyone to attend the annual summer fair.
Plans are underway and tickets are now on sale. Any sponsorship from your companies or donations of prizes for the stalls would be greatly appreciated.
A reminder to send in full unopened bottles with your child, from ketchup to champagne, for the bottle stall. The children can earn an extra dojo for each bottle when bringing these in to the main school office.
During the afternoons last week pupils will celebrated PEP week, our Pupil Enrichment Programme. Pupils come off timetable during the afternoons and spent time in their house groups. This year’s theme was ‘The Crystal Maze’. A special thank you to our governors who joined us on Tuesday afternoon.
Sun hats and water bottles
As the weather hopefully improves I would like to remind you of the importance of wearing a sun hat during play time and lunch time and bringing a water bottle to school every day. The sun hat should be the school regulation hat and can be bought from the school office for £5.00. Water bottles, which can be refilled through the day, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Signing in for Breakfast Club and Out in After School Club
Please remember to sign your children in for breakfast club and out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have left and collected your child so that the club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A reminder that Prize Day is Wednesday 10th July at 6.30pm. We hope that all children from Year 1 to Year 6 will attend with their parents. There will be a performance by the KS2 choir. KS1 will be singing a song and the Year 6 responsibilities will be announced.
A newsletter from the PTFA has been sent out. Please note the dates of the Glow Disco and cake sale on 5th July 2019. Tickets for the disco will be on sale at the summer fair.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
