School closure – Friday 2nd March
Good morning everyone!
On the advice of the local authority and in consultation with the Academy and our own Premises team we have made the difficult decision to remain closed today Friday 2nd March. I understand how difficult it is for working parents but the safety of the children and my staff remains my biggest priority. As well icy local roads making it difficult for children and teachers to get to school, possibly made worse by the weather forecasted today we also have issues with kitchen being closed and therefore being unable to provide the children with a hot meal. Also due to the freezing temperatures the heating in at least one of the buildings is now also not working and therefore temperatures inside the classrooms are below safety levels.
Please check the parent portal for activities set by the teachers for the children to try today.
I look forward to seeing you all on Monday
Keep warm and keep safe
