Reception class assembly
Uniform Pop-up Shop
The next pop-up shop will take place on Wednesday 19th July.
Thank you to Reception for an outstanding class assembly on mini beasts! What a great way to end a fantastic year of class assemblies!
Please return your tube to Mrs McNaughton by this Thursday no matter how full it is! The class returning the highest percentage of tubes will have a picnic in Valentines Park – it would be wonderful if this was able to be a whole school picnic. The winners will be announced at Merit assembly this week.
Currently in the lead are Year 2 with 61% of the class returning their tubes!
The money raised will go to the PTFA to boost the profits from the summer fair. Our aim this year is to raise funds for computer tablets for the class rooms. This is a large project but with your help and everyone getting involved I am sure that we can succeed.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
The school is still collecting these vouchers. Please put them in the box outside the main school office.
The last Book Fair of this Academic year is still running this week until Wednesday 21st June. It will be run in the Dining Hall after school until 4.20. Please do come along to see the wide variety of books on offer.
Year 6 Trip to PGL
Last week, Year 6 pupils spent 4 nights and 5 days at PGL in Marchant’s Hill. The week was filled with a variety of activities from sensory trail, archery, rock climbing and orienteering. The Year 6 pupils represented our school with pride and I commend them for their excellent behaviour and effort throughout the week. I’d also like to extend a special thanks to Mr Tuitt, Ms Rock and Miss Sethi for joining them for the week!
The 2017 summer fair is fast approaching and will be held next Friday 30th June from 3.30-7pm. Any sponsorship from your companies or donations for the raffle would be gratefully appreciated. This week is confectionary week when we ask for donations of sweets, chocolate bars and anything else that you feel would go down well. Tickets will be on sale in the mornings and a box for donations will also be available outside and in the school office. The school council will also start to sell the games tickets in school this week.
After School Club
Please remember to sign your child out when you collect them from after school club. When collecting your children from the hall, please be mindful of the after school clubs and sports practices that are taking place and walk around the perimeter of the playground.
Humanities Day- Day of Many Colours
On Friday 30th June it is the Day of Many Colours, the Mission Together fundraising day supporting children living in poverty overseas. This year, we have combined it with Humanities day to learn about other countries around the world that will be taking part. The children are asked to dress in the colours red, blue, green, yellow and white and donate £2. The donation will be split between Mission Together and the PTFA. The children will take part in activities based on maps during the day and will be able to finish off their day at the Summer Fair.
Sports Day 2017
Our annual Sports Day for children in Reception to Year 6 will take place at Cricklefields Athletics track, on Friday 23rd June. Parents are welcome to join us for this event and permission slips are being sent out. Please send these back to the office asap. We look forward to seeing you there!
Congratulations to Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 for no absences last week. Congratulations to Year 1 for no lates last week. I hope that next week there are more classes with excellent punctuality and attendance.
