Sponsored bike ride
Today Miss Smith and Mr Harding rode their bikes from the school to Romford and back to raise money for new ICT equipment. Despite the hot weather they rode amazingly well! If you would still like to sponsor them please see Miss Smith.
This term The Ursuline Prep School Ilford are involved in a new initiative called Rocket Fund. Rocket Fund is a crowdfunding platform for schools to fundraise for the latest technology. Here at The Ursuline Prep School Ilford we are committed to trialling the latest technology and developing our students’ digital skills. We wish to raise £721.80 to purchase four Lenovo tablets to help our children bring their lessons to life. It will allow students to be transported instantaneously to locations they are learning about.
Funding new technology in schools has always been a challenge. So we’ve create a project on Rocket Fund to see if we can raise money from our community.
To see our project please go here: https://rocket.fund/p/Ilfordursulinepreparatory/
Every little helps – so we would be grateful if you could share this project with as many people as possible: on Twitter, Facebook, email or just over the fence!
We are also keen for local businesses to support us so if you have any contacts please forward them the details as well.
A very big thank you to those who have already donated – we are on the way to the target!
The end of year assessments will be given to the children to bring home on Monday. The children have worked hard this year and should be very proud of their achievements. If you wish to discuss them further please make an appointment with the class teacher.
Sun hats and water bottles
As the weather improves I would like to remind you of the importance of wearing a sun hat during play time and lunch time and bringing a water bottle to school every day. Water bottles, which can be refilled through the day, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Nearly new uniform
As we reach the end of term if you have any uniform that could be recycled please bring it in to the office and give it to Mrs Johnson. Please ensure it is clean and suitable for resale.
We will also be holding a nearly new uniform sale every day after school next week in After School Club if you wish to purchase any uniform for the new term.
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A reminder that Prize Day is Wednesday 11th July at 7pm. We hope that all children from Year 1 to Year 6 will attend with their parents. There will be a performance by the KS2 choir, KS1 will be singing a song and the Year 6 responsibilities will be announced.
Well done to Year 1 for 100% attendance this week. Unfortunately, there were no classes with no lates this week. I hope that next week there are more classes with 100% punctuality and attendance.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
