Congratulations Miss Halton!
The next class assembly will be Year 2 and will take place on Friday 4th May at 9:10am. As always, parents and friends are invited to attend.
Trinity Term Student Council Representatives
Congratulations to the pupils who have been selected to represent their classes on the student council for this term. They are: Gital, Jonathon, Daniel, Kieran G, Shemilore and Aryaan. A very big thank you to the pupils who served their classes well during the Lent term!
Year 1 trip to Museum of London
On Monday 23rd April Year 1 went to the Museum of London. They had the opportunity to look at how fashion, transportation, shops and toys have changed over time. They also looked at the history of London and how it has changed.
This trip helped them to extend their understanding in what have they learnt in Geography and in History throughout the year.
Congratulations Miss Halton!
I am very pleased to announce that Miss Halton delivered a beautiful baby girl on 19th April. Mum and baby are
doing well and enjoying their time as a family.
On Tuesday 24th April Habiba Ahmed – a recycling officer from Redbridge, came in to work with the children across the school on recycling projects. They also had the opportunity to look at the amount of litter left across the school and help to tidy up their environment.
A letter has been sent out this week in regards to the PSHE Day trip to the Town hall to see the Mayor. Please ensure that the form is signed and returned to the class teacher. We are also looking for volunteer parents to accompany the classes on the day. If you do not have a letter, they can be found in the main office.
We are holding our 1st Summer Concert on Tuesday 8th May in the Academy Hall. It will be showcasing the talents within our school from Choir, Young Voices, Ballet, Irish dancing, Street dancing, Bollywood, Speech and drama and instrumentalists. If your child takes part in one of these activities, they will be preparing for the concert already and will need to be present on the evening. All parents and children can attend. We will be selling tickets from next week at a cost of £2.50 for an adult and £1 for a child (those who are performing will not need a ticket).
Life Cycles Meeting
Thank you to all of the parents who attended the ‘Life Cycles’ meeting on Monday. A big thank you to Mr Bourke, Mrs Pereira, Miss Sethi and Mr Agyemang for the informative presentation. If you were not able to attend the information can be collected from one of the above teachers.
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Can I please remind everyone that the parking bays in the front of the school are for staff only and must not be used in the morning for dropping off. This is currently causing staff lateness which impacts on your own children.
Congratulations to Year 5 who had no lates this week. Congratulation to Year 1 who had no absences this week. Hopefully next week we will have even more classes with no absences and no lates. Please be reminded that any term time absences should be requested and authorised by the headteacher using the absence request form which can be found in the main office.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
