Thank you to Reception for their lovely class assembly about all the things they have learnt this year. Some beautiful singing and lovely loud voices.
That was the last class assembly for this current academic year. Thank you to all of the parents and friends who were able to attend an assembly this year.
Celebration Day – 15th June 2018
Celebration Day was held last Friday on a beautiful sunny day. A lot of fun was had by all. Thank you to the teachers and parents who came along to make it a success
- Sports Day
The pupils enjoyed taking part in races and field events. Thank you to Mr Agyemang for organising the morning and congratulations to everyone who took part. You demonstrated excellent skill but also great resilience and perseverance.
- Summer Fair
The summer fair was a great success again this year! Thank you to all of the staff and parents for volunteering to help run stalls and for all who attended to support our school. A special thanks to Ms Roddy for organising the event!
- End of Year Raffle
We will be holding an end of year raffle with many prizes such as a beauty hamper, sweet hamper, scooters, manicure and pedicure vouchers, toys and many more. Tickets will be on sale at £1 a strip from Monday 25th June and the draw will take place following our Leaver’s Mass on Thursday 12th July.
During the afternoons pupils enjoyed celebrating PEP week, our Pupil Enrichment Programme. Pupils came off timetable during the afternoons and spent time in their house groups. This year’s theme is ‘All around the world’. The children visited Asia, Africa, South America and Oceania.
Year 1 Science Museum trip
On Monday 18th June Year 1 went to the Science Museum. This trip helped them to further their understanding of what they have learnt in all the different topics that we have looked at this year.
Sun hats and water bottles
As the weather improves I would like to remind you of the importance of wearing a sun hat during play time and lunch time and bringing a water bottle to school every day. The sun hat should be the school regulation hat and can be bought from the school office for £4.00. Water bottles, which can be refilled through the day, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Signing Out After School Club
Please remember to sign your children out when collecting them from the after school club. It is very important to write the time that you have collected your child so that the after school club staff are able to keep an accurate record of pupils present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A reminder that Prize Day is Wednesday 11th July at 7pm. We hope that all children from Year 1 to Year 6 will attend with their parents. There will be a performance by the KS2 choir, KS1 will be singing a song and the Year 6 responsibilities will be announced.
Unfortunately, there were no classes with 100% attendance or no lates this week. I hope that next week there are more classes with 100% punctuality and attendance.
Please ensure that all forms are returned to the school office as soon as possible.
Please can you inform the office if you have any change in your contact details (email address, phone, address, etc.).
